Addison grew up dancing at The Dance Club In Orem, Utah. Addison started dancing at the age of 3 and has loved it ever since. She has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, jazz funk and lyrical. Addison has been trained by some of the best teachers in the business many of whom work in the professional dance world. Some of those teachers include Alli Thornton, Kirra Cook, Joey Dowling, Jackie Ford, Andy Pellick, Martha Nichols, Dana Wilson and many more. Addisons team and the dance club have won many national titles and are known for their hard work ethics. Addison also has a special place in her heart for children with special needs. She hopes to one day incorporate her love for dance with her love for kids with special needs.
Aimee is the owner and Head Girls Team Coach at Champions Sports Center. Aimee, was born totally deaf and completely blind in her right eye. In addition, she was born with hip dysplasia, a condition in which her hips were not fully developed. At the time, doctors didn’t give her much of a chance of having a normal life. She was told that she may never walk normal and that she would have cognitive impairments and delay. Aimee has fought through challenge after challenge, including multiple knee surgeries, a fractured ankle requiring reconstruction, shoulder, back, hip and wrist injuries. Throughout it all she maintained a positive attitude and truly has “No Excuses.”
In overcoming many obstacles, she rose to the level of International Elite, competed internationally and was in the 2000 Olympic Trials (US Classic) though suffered a severe knee injury.
Kevin is our Boy's Team Head Coach and Girls Assistant Team Coach Kevin Perkins! Kevin is from the Portland Oregon area. Like Aimee, Kevin is also deaf and comes with an impressive gymnastics resume: 2002 State Champion (ring and vault), 2003 State 1st All Around, 2004 JO Nationals -3rd in rings, 2005 and 2006 University of Washington; Collegiate Nationals - 3rd in rings, 2006 Visa National Championship - 5th in rings, 8th in vault, and so much more!
Sadie recently joined our team and brings with her lots of experience. Sadie is a Cheer Coach at Orem High School as well as having coached for Exceleration Tumbling and Cheer in Orem (Previous owners of TumblTime) for the past 8 years.
Caitlin grew up dancing and performing at the age of 3 where she grew up in Southern California and relocated with her family to Utah in 2015. She has been trained in all styles of dance. Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theater and Modern. Caitlin has competed and participated in many dance competitions Regionally and Nationally as well
as performing at Disneyland and other amazing events, while winning various titles and awards throughout the years. Caitlin has trained in some of Los Angeles most astonishing dance studios such as Millenium Dance Complex, Mather Dance Company, Murrieta Dance Project, Star Dance Center, and EDGE Performing Arts Center. Cailtin has trained with some of the top choreographers in the dance industry such as, Travis Wall, Shannon Mather, Maria Carmen Diaz-Estorga, Matt Stefanina, WilldaBeast Adams, Alexa Moeffet as well as many others. When Caitlin moved to Utah she danced at The Dance Club in Orem and loved the training she got there. Caitlin was apart of Provo Highs Cheer and Dance company as well as Student Government all throughout High School.. Caitlin is now attending UVU and dancing at Jive Dance Studio in Orem. Caitlin is so excited to be working at Champions and share her talent and love for dance with others!
Fighting through this, she came back to compete on the UCLA gymnastics team, winning the NCAA national championship in 2004. Aimee finished her college gymnastics career competing for BYU and graduated with a degree in Recreational Management and Youth Leadership and was an Academic All American.
Aimee had further opportunities appearing on television and in movies. She had several appearances in Baywatch and the made for TV movie "Little Girls in Pretty Boxes” as well as many others. Her story has been featured on Extra, Mountain West TV, in the Los Angeles Times, Deseret News and multiple other news outlets and media.
Aimee has been speaking professionally for several years and loves to meet and inspire people to help them to feel and believe that anything is possible if they truly believe and work towards their goals. Aimee has been the keynote speaker for colleges/universities, schools, church groups, business organizations and at gymnastics facilities.
Aimee is married to Derek Pond and is the mother of five beautiful children who are her entire life.
Aimee was named the 2019 National Gymnastics Coach of the Year!
